Each design is available in either horizontal or vertical format. Personalization is available also. Our creative edge cards are printed on genuine archival photographic paper so your images will remain sharp and clear decades from now. It's an interesting process. Creative Edge cards can be created from your digital image file or we can scan your negative, slide or print (your original image is unharmed) to create a digital file. Your custom card is created digitally by our graphic artists right here in the heart of the Dakotas. And we feel your cards deserve better than a color inkjet print. We print on genuine archival photographic paper instead of inkjet paper. Besides the fact that inkjet prints can run when moistened, there's a quality difference. Inkjet printers spray little puffs of ink, so the edges of the dots tend to be blurry, like dots from a can of spray paint. That makes fine details in photos less crisp. The more intense the color, the more intense the ink spray required, and the greater the blur. Plus, the dyes used in inkjet printers will seriously fade with time. At The Photo Express we use a special $210,000 digital photographic printer. Your images are converted to photon beams, transported and refined through an MLVA light array and focused on genuine photographic paper. The pinpoints of light stay the same size no matter how intensely the beam is fired. That results in sharper details when the light exposes the silver halide crystals on the photographic film.Isn't science amazing!!
